My sculptural work is also primarily figurative and consists of work in glass, ceramic, and found objects, some pieces combining 2 or more media. First ┬áto fascinate me was glass, probably because of its transparency and ability to hold the light. I am a warm glass worker, making fused and cast glass in a kiln and fashioning these into flat panels and occasionally into shaped objects. My work in wood is a process of subtraction, finding the message in the medium by grinding and sanding the wood away. It’s all great fun and miraculous.
