During normal days I regularly attend life drawing sessions and draw directly from life, something I love. Now that these sessions are unavailable, I have revisited some of my drawings and begun embellishing them, developing and ultimately recreating them.
I recently inherited a cache of decorative papers which I have utilized in my collage work. As a person who loves puzzles, I love to break units into fragments, and then stitch them back together. This makes collage a fabulous fit as a medium. I often combine the collaged elements with painted ones to create some interesting compositions and textural effects not possible with paint alone.
